9 Things Men Do That Women Find Creepy

When a man finds a woman attractive, he tries to do things to get her attention. He’d either flash a friendly smile, extend his arm for a handshake, or give her a compliment. But he’d never want to paint himself as a creep.

While some have mastered the meet-cute game and make good first impressions, others fail miserably and come off creepy instead.

But some men think they are just being nice, unaware that they are actually making women uncomfortable.

To avoid scaring a woman off, at least unintentionally, here are some of the things you should avoid doing:

1. Following women around

You don’t just follow someone you like while walking down the street. While that may work in movies, that’s one of the creepiest things you can do to a woman.

If she’s already told you she isn’t interested, take the hint and leave her alone. Don’t insist on following her around or trying to help carry her stuff.

It won’t help either if you say you’re just trying to be nice or protective. It’s actually herself she wanted to protect from you.

2. Prolonged eye contact

Something no woman, or man, enjoys. She doesn’t want to be stared at — maliciously — by her every move. It’s uncomfortable and frightening. If you have something to say, just tell her politely.

3. Overly touchy

Don’t feel overly confident and think that a woman is okay with surprise hugs, massages on her shoulder, or a grab on her waist. So is putting your hands on her things, or worse, lifting her body for fun.

That’s a complete disrespect to her boundaries, as well as harassment.

4. Commenting about her body

… or making it obvious that you’re checking her body out. A woman, especially someone you just met, finds it uncomfortable and gross.

Some men just feel they can just say “you’re thick” or “you need to fatten up.” Nope. That’s not only offensive but ultra-creepy, too.

5. Green jokes

Many, if not most, women do not enjoy it. Making green or dirty jokes does not make you a guy with a good sense of humor. If anything, it makes you become the guy any woman would not want to be in the same room with.

6. “If only I wasn’t married…”

If you’re already married, don’t go bothering single women by saying you would’ve wanted to be with them if you had the chance. Do you expect them to feel good knowing you find them attractive despite being tied on?

Aside from feeling sorry for your wife, it will only send uncomfortable chills down their spines.

7. Misunderstanding their kindness

A friendly reminder for all the assuming dudes out there:

A woman can show you kindness and be nice and still have zero feelings for you. Don’t assume anything unless she drops serious hints or says so. Or else, that will be the last of her kindness towards you.

8. Catcalling

Women just don’t understand how they’re supposed to be flattered when you yell about their long, flawless legs from across the street. More so if you insist on making them look back and see your ghastly grin.

9. Lying about your age

It’s not cute. It only implies you are into grooming or have predatory tendencies. Women in their right minds find this disturbing because why else would a man lie about his age?

In case you didn’t know, it’s a criminal act and not something you take lightly.

Learn to approach a woman nicely if you want her to perceive a good impression of you. Be sensitive and respect her boundaries. Begin your relationship on the right note.
